I know I am slacking on my blogging duties. Well, hey, we all have to suck at something..... OK, film class was really good I learned a lot. I am in my final class for my MBA. (done Dec. 14) Lastly, I enrolled in Comedy School in Manhattan, yes, comedy school! Reasons being are; I usually get told every other week that I should have become a comedian. Oh come on, just my life being pitiful in general is enough to come up with material. Finally, my good friend Kathryn came across the school's website and said you might as well do it. So I figure, why not? I got up this past Monday night in front of the class and talked about my god awful interaction with men and why I'm not married, and that was enough to crack everyone up.
So, I look at this way, my goal is to have my own sitcom one day and I WILL have one. The economy is bad and my chances of getting a job that a) I am happy with and b) that is going to pay me what I want are probably slim right now. Therefore, I have to find another means to start paying my wonderful student loan @ 6.8% off. Well, I figured why the hell not???? Hopefully, this will take off for me, wish me luck!

Why I don't have my own TV sitcom, is beyond me??????
Hello to all of you,
My apologies as usual for the delay in posting. I enrolled in the CT Film Training Program and I love. However, a lot of stuff on my plate because I am in the program, plus I have my normal 2 classes, & I have to work. (So bombarded is an understatement) I know blah blah blah.......That’s what I am here for. Anyway, love the film program I’ll fill you in more on another blog.
Allow me to share with you my screwed up weekend (last weekend) and if someone can explain to me how & why I do not have my own TV sitcom it is beyond me. Here it goes, my father went into a nursing home this past February. (It’s just one of those things when it’s just a matter of time when it happens.)
My dad is a trained musician. He played the organ & the accordion (I know it’s not a real instrument, don’t hate) The doctor told my sister to bring the accordion in, for it to be physical therapy for him. (he is a stoke victim) A band came in there one day and yes you guessed it, someone was playing the accordion. So, my father was bitching to my mother that he can play better. (which yes, he can, 2 things he was good at, 1) being a musician & 2) well I can't say, the list is too long.) So long story short he wanted my brother's 10 watt amp, which my 2 wonderful oldest nephews had. (they are the reason why I will never have children!!!!) So last Friday my mother goes to get the amp & well the boys don’t have it. Due to the fact that they blew it up! (Gee big surprise & thanks boys, auntie loves you!) So, Friday evening she comes home from the nursing home, & she was freaking out on me about it. (because she can’t tell my father that it’s broken, cuz then he would give her crap. Then I would get more crap, see how this works???) So I told her to stop, and said, “mom it’s an easy fix.” So I called one a music store that shall remain nameless, got down there 5 minutes before they closed (when I should have been sleeping cuz I have to be @ work @ 5AM.) & bought a new amp. (Thank you MasterCard, thank you!!!!) Got all the way home, popped it open, and it was red...... WTF, I needed a black one to try to pass it off as the old one that blew up. So my father wouldn't give my mother crap for something that broke which wasn't his in the first place, nor did he pay for it. (remember my brother did)
There’s a bit more to this dysfunction but long story short it was a lot of driving and time wasted, (which I am not one to waste time) all due to everyone else!!!! However, I did texted my sister and told her to tell her wonderful children that aunties loves them......No wait, NOT TODAY!
Final ending, I did find a used amp exactly like the one my brother had. (for a lot cheaper than the new one) I also received full credit back on my return (thanks to the music store that shall remain nameless) They usually have a 15% restocking fee. It actually worked out fine, it was just a WTF kind of weekend......perfect for my TV sitcom when I get one. Well, that's it for now ladies & gentlemen.....Stay tuned for my next episode.

Graditude: how you should say thank you more often.....
Free tickets to the park Fenway that is.....OK any die hard sports fan will tell you that stepping in enemy territory is not allowed. True, I somewhat agree, however, my theory (not that it matters) is its baseball & to someone like me who loves baseball, it shouldn't matter. It's all about being grateful. Grateful for what you have at this moment in time.
Allow me to explain my method of madness thank you! OK it goes like this, last week I was worrying about my final presentation & what to post on this blog. (cuz I at least want to try to keep you (my wonderful readers) somewhat interested.) So I was going to do it Wednesday but I am the only asshole I know that can go to bed & wake up felling worse than when I went to bed. (& no it wasn't a hangover so don't go there, if it was I'd tell you) When I woke up on Wednesday, I somehow pulled a muscle in my neck, anyway enough about that. So Thursday came along and still no blog because I was going to knock it out Wednesday. So Thursday while I am at work my General Manager comes off the elevator & calls me. I turned right around of course & he asks me "Chris are you a Red Sox fan" I answer (honestly as always like an idiot) "No but I can be." He says to me, "here are two tickets to tomorrow night’s game." Now allow me to explain to you!!!! I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth….Ever!!! Of course, I did what was right and I said to him, well thank you but I can't go." he said to take them & I said well I am off on Saturday. So long story short, I was feeling like shit on my day off (Wednesday) & in tears cuz of the pain. (Yeah I know you feel for me, don't give me that) so I took them now I had to run around like an ass to find someone to go with me. Yeah that happened! Everyone I know gave me the same line, well if you told me a couple of days ago…..(Ummm, yeah I just got them the day before & they were free, so drop what you are doing.)
OK so I got free tickets awesome!!!! As I said before, I am NOT one to look a gift house in the mouth. I say thank you 10 times & run. Obviously it's very rare that shit like this happens to me. So I always say thank you & keep going. (It’s the thanks part that is important here pay attention, the more you say thanks, the more good things keep happening to you) Do you get where I'm coming from????
So on the same day (Thursday, just in case you lost track) I go home, take a nap, and get ready for class that night. On my way out I check the mailbox. Now since I'm working on my MBA I live at one of my favorite places, Panera Bread. The reason why is I doing my homework there & I love their food. Every time I'm there I fill out there survey to "try" to win $2000. (Hey I've got student loans to pay) in efforts to try to win I visualize my $2000 check come in the mailbox from Panera. However, no check but, I did receive a $15 gift card from them. I’ll take it!
After class that night some of my classmates invited me out for a drink. (Working the kind of schedule that I work, I try to take advantage of an invitation out.) I accepted of course and my professor came out with us. After we finished our drinks we started walking to our cars. Two of us went one way and my professor, a classmate, and I went another. As my professor, my classmate Jen, & I were walking to our vehicles. I heard a car that sounded like it was about to drop its exhaust system.
I said to them, wait, listen, they of course questioned, “what???" I replied with, OK at least my truck (suv) doesn't sound like that! They laughed of coursed, and said, “Good point!” See my truck may be a little beat with over 200,000 miles but its good to me & best of all, it's paid for.
Moral of the story, as Rhonda Bryne (of the secret) said "be grateful with each step that you take from the moment when you wake up!" All I'm saying is that even though things may suck for you now, they are always worst for someone else. Also, by saying thank you all the time, things will get better….. No matter how bad you think it is right now…..

A beautiful day 4/27/2011
Hello all, and welcome to my blog where I blab about well, just about everything. (in a somewhat respectable manor) I am a voiceover talent, photographer, currently work as a TV production asst. In the near future I am looking to become a professional investor (to invest in film & TV productions) & comedian. (it’s because I am told once a week to become a comedian so it’s on the list of goals)
Anyway, on to my beautiful day: yesterday I went to NY to see my coach for a voiceover lesson. Not only was the weather perfect but I woke up feeling like a million dollars. (not that I know what a million dollars feels like but, come to think about it, I would not mind at all.) So I arrived early and had about an hour to kill. My first thought was to go to B&H video photo on 42nd Street. (I love it there, it’s like the gates of heave open up when you walk in. (sound effects please)) The reason why I didn’t it was a) had to pay for parking and b) I’m broke as hell. So going into some place like that I knew I would come out with a new lens for my camera. So, therefore, I went into Starbucks got myself a smoothie and took a walk to the park that is underneath the GW bridge. I must share with you, the view was awesome, I finished reading one of my books for school. Then headed to my coach's studio and had a kick ass lesson. The best part of yesterday was nothing bothered me at all, it was almost perfect. Now I just need to figure out how to get paid for days like that on a regular basis.:-)
Hope you have a beautiful day too.
Chris
